Is Irina Derevko Lena Olin? One of these days I will catch up on Gossip Girl. Just doesn't seem like the kind of show to watch alone. In my parents house.
Yay Dana Whitaker!
Now do men! Do them!
Yes, Lena Olin.
I will try the men...
Awesome...glad to see another Alias fan out there. I always cheered an appearance by Ms. Derevko.
Am I the only one who hates Peggy Olson though? Maybe it's the ridiculous "fat" makeup job they did on Elisabeth Moss in season 1. Or perhaps I just have a difficult time appreciating any of the women not named Betty Draper. Ummmmmmmmmmm...Betttyyyy Drappperrr
I know I'm a noob and all, but I am squarely in the Joan camp.
But I am looking forward to see what those other two have up their sleeves.
I just appreciate a bit of complexity, which I definitely think Peggy Olsen has. Betty Draper too, though she does a great job of hiding it. Which is awesome. I obviously love Joan, too. Mostly, I just can't wait for 9:00.
Julie, In carefully crafting my list of TV characters so as to avoid the barrage of "oh yeah" comments afterward, I realized you forgot Murphy Brown!
QT I think you don't like peggy olsen becasue you can't see her for anything else than zoey bartlett...or at least i had that problem at first
Oh. oh. oh. J.O.A.N. Joan.
So how far in have you gotten?
I have two epis left in Season 1.
So Betty and Peggy are also on the move.
BUT. QT is right. Peggy's weight-gain makeup is ghastly. She looks way too much like Helen at the beginning of Death Becomes Her for me to take seriously.
OH WAIT. Did I make a list of favorite female performances and leave out both leads AND Isabella Rosselini from Death Becomes Her? Idiot.
Holy Moly!!! Season 1 is a wrap. That last episode is a doozy!
Bonus points for ending with a top five favorite song of all time (list to come, I'm sure).
I'm still Joan's campaign manager but Betty and Peggy both closed the gap considerably. Especially Betty. There's just no good excuse (anymore) for Peggy's wardrobe.
QT you are a good spoiler-keeper and I thank you for it.
One problem with Mad Men: IT MAKES ME WANT TO SMOKE SO F()CKIN BAD.
